Working everyday on artwork is hard, but once you get use to it, it’s like a drug you can not miss… I am missing the Miami studio.

Where else can we sit on a Le Corbusier couch and contemplate a Francis Bacon… Centre d’art Pompidou

I had finally the pleasure to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, quite something even when having to deal with a thousand Japanese tourists shooting away.

While paris thinks and thinks and acts a lot less… indulging on the artistic thinking process is bumming me out.

Yesterday I went to see my upstairs neighbor Designers Interactifs‘ project called Pecha Kucha… their fourth Paris installment about design and art , 20 artists, 20 images, 20 second per image… cool concept, cool artists. My favorites were Vadim Bernard, Area 17, SL Co, Nathalie Brevet & Hughes Rochette, Jocelyn Cottencin, Arrache-toi un oeil, Fanette Mellier, typo.gras.free.fr/, La Bonne Merveille.

There is a little webcam at Tate Modern in London where you can take little video sequences and send it to your friends… a bit hard if you really dont know your friends email addresses…

London is calling and so I am going, I really want to see Saatchi Gallery, Tate Modern, The Courtauld Gallery, the ICA and Serpentine Gallery.

Lately I have being laughing my ass of with a French Canadian web tv show called tetes a claques take a look, you risk to laugh a bit… I recommend the wily waller 2006

Recently I had an adventure in India for a month… everyone wanted our money one way or another… there was no space for meeting people and having friendships, other than meeting people with the prospect of us paying something… that is a bit familiar to my 10 years in Miami… so that was not shocking… what was surprising was that no one person knows where Cuba is… or what a cuban cigar is or Cuban rum… and even less Cuban music… so voila… I always thought my country was known accross the world for its contributions to this planet but not… Not many people know where Cuba is in India… you also need to know that many people in India know barely how to read… so it is understandable but curios anyways that Cuba does not exist in this country…

Here is a pic of my current 4 square feet studio in paris… not glamorous but gets the work done, also please note that I have updated my slide show with new paintings of the current year, the new design is made to view large scale images in bigger screens or higher resolutions.
